You can make every day special.
Did you know that every day is a National Day for something? Today, April 21, has several National Day celebrations. Check out the link below. Three of them today are National Tea Day, National Kindergarten Day, and Thank You for Libraries Day. Every day can take an ordinary day and make it memorable. Why would you want to do that? Because it’s a great way to open the door to hospitality. Another reason is children can learn things when celebrating special days. Take, for instance, today. It’s National Tea Day. What better day to have a tea party with your family and friends?
Today is also Thank You for Libraries Day. What a perfect day to take the children to the library or meet some friends there, check out the same book, get coffee, and talk about it. Every day shouldn’t be mundane. Special days don’t always need to be elaborate; if planned in advance, it can be a day everyone is excited about, a reason to be together to learn and enjoy each other intentionally. Making days special is bringing intention to your days and not letting one day flow into another dull day with everyone in the same mundane attitude.
The National Day calendar is filled with all kinds of things to celebrate and makes it easy to plan something. When you look at the calendar, the creative ideas start flowing. Pick two or three a month, invite someone over, teach your children something new, and be intentional with your days.
